Who we are

One of a Kind Mind is an AI companion platform for parents of neurodivergent children, operated by One of a Kind Mind.

When these terms say "we", "us" or "our", they mean One of a Kind Mind. When they say "you", they mean the person using the platform.

What One of a Kind Mind is

One of a Kind Mind provides:

An AI companion that supports parents of neurodivergent children through conversation, pattern tracking, and personalised insights about their child.

Educational guides, articles, and resources about neurodivergent parenting, nervous system science, and co-regulation.

Tools including trigger logging, pattern detection, and communication support for parents.

A community space for parents to connect and share experiences.

What One of a Kind Mind is not

This is important. Please read it.

One of a Kind Mind is not a medical service, therapeutic service, or clinical practice. It does not provide diagnoses, treatment plans, or clinical advice.

The AI companion is not a therapist, psychologist, or counsellor. It is an AI system designed to support parents – not to replace professional help.

The content on this platform – including guides, articles, and companion responses – is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified medical, psychological, or educational professional.

If you are concerned about your child's development, mental health, or behavior, or about your own mental health, please consult a qualified professional.

Crisis support

One of a Kind Mind provides access to crisis support resources. Messages that may indicate a crisis always receive support line information, even when the monthly conversation allowance has been used.

However, this platform is not a crisis service and is not monitored in real time. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services in your country (999 in the UK, 911 in the US, 000 in Australia) or a crisis helpline immediately.

Crisis resources are provided in good faith. We cannot guarantee their accuracy or availability. Please verify contact details before relying on them.

Your account

To use most features of One of a Kind Mind you need to create an account.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information when creating your account
• Keeping your password secure
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Not sharing your account with others (except via Partner Mode on Pro plan)

You must be 18 or over to create an account. This platform is designed for adults – parents and carers – not for children.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse the platform, or engage in behavior that harms other users.

The AI companion

The companion is powered by artificial intelligence. This means:

Responses are generated by an AI system, not by a human.

Responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. We work to minimise this but cannot guarantee it.

The companion learns about your child from information you provide. The quality of its responses depends on the accuracy of what you share.

Conversations are stored to enable the companion to remember your child over time. See our Privacy Policy for details on how this data is used.

You should not rely on the companion as your sole source of support or guidance. It is a tool – a useful one, we hope – but not a replacement for human connection or professional advice.

Free plan

The free plan is available at no charge and includes:

• 5 companion conversations per month
• Crisis support always prioritised (counts toward your 5)
• One child profile
• Personalised regulation plan
• Basic trigger logging
• All guides and blog articles
• The community

We reserve the right to modify the free plan at any time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes.

Pro plan – subscription and payment

The Pro plan is a paid subscription available monthly or annually.

Current pricing is displayed at oneofakindmind.com/pricing. Prices may change. We will give at least 30 days notice of price increases to existing subscribers.

Free trial

Pro includes a 7-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial, you will be asked to provide payment details to continue. If you do not subscribe, your account returns to the free plan automatically.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance – monthly or annually depending on your chosen billing period. Payment is processed securely by Stripe.

Cancellation

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain Pro access until that date.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel a monthly subscription mid-month, you retain access until the end of that month and are not charged again.

Annual subscriptions: if you cancel an annual subscription, you retain access until the end of the annual period. We do not provide partial refunds for unused months on annual plans except where required by law.

UK and EU subscribers: under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) and EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital subscription from the date of purchase. However, by accessing Pro features immediately upon subscribing, you acknowledge that the service has begun and agree that your right of withdrawal may be affected. Contact us at hello@oneofakindmind.com with any cancellation requests.

Downgrade

If your Pro subscription ends or is cancelled, your account returns to the free plan. Your data – child profile, conversation history, and trigger entries – is retained. You lose access to Pro features only.

Your content

You own the content you create on this platform – trigger entries, notes, and information about your child.

By using the platform, you grant us a limited licence to process this content to provide the service – specifically to generate companion responses, pattern insights, and reports.

We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not share your content with other users.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. Do not submit information that is false, misleading, or that violates the rights of others.

Children's data

This platform is used by parents and carers on behalf of their children. You confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child whose information you enter, and that you have the authority to share that information.

Children should not create their own accounts or use this platform directly. This platform is designed for use by adults on behalf of their children.

We handle children's data with particular care. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Intellectual property

All content on this platform – including guides, articles, tools, design, and the platform itself – belongs to One of a Kind Mind and is protected by copyright.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

You may share links to our content. You may quote brief passages for non-commercial purposes with attribution.

Community

The community space is for parents to connect and support each other.

You agree not to post content that:

• Is abusive, threatening, or hateful
• Identifies or harms a specific child
• Promotes commercial services
• Provides clinical or medical advice to other users
• Violates the privacy of others

We reserve the right to remove posts and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

The community is moderated but not monitored in real time. Report concerns to hello@oneofakindmind.com.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for any harm – direct, indirect, or consequential – arising from your use of this platform, including harm arising from companion responses, pattern insights, or content on the platform.

We are not liable for outcomes related to decisions you make based on content or companion responses.

We are not liable for interruptions to the service, including interruptions caused by third-party services (Anthropic, Stripe, Resend, Supabase).

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you have paid us in that same period.

Third-party services

This platform uses third-party services including:

Anthropic – AI processing for the companion. Conversations are processed via Anthropic's API.

Stripe – payment processing. Payment details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by us.

Supabase – data storage.

Resend – email delivery.

Google Analytics – anonymised usage analytics.

Each service has its own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves.

For significant changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

For minor changes, we will update the date on this page.

Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are based in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory protections provided by the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
