What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use oneofakindmind.com, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
We take privacy seriously. This platform handles sensitive information – including information about children and about parental mental health – and we have tried to be as clear as possible about what we collect and why.
Information we collect
Account information
Your email address and password when you create an account. We use this to identify you and allow you to sign in.
Child profile information
Your child's first name, age, and any information you share about them during onboarding or in conversations – including their behavioral patterns, sensory profile, triggers, and what has and hasn't worked. This information is used solely to personalise the companion for your family.
Conversation data
All conversations you have with your companion are stored. This is how the companion remembers your child and builds knowledge over time. Conversations are never used to train AI models and are never shared with other users.
Trigger Map entries
Moment logs you create – including dates, times, intensity ratings, trigger tags, and notes – are stored and used to generate pattern insights for you and to inform your companion.
Parent profile information
If you complete the nervous system pattern tool on the For You page, your selections are stored and used to personalise your experience and your companion's responses.
Saved content
Practices you save from the For You page, and techniques you save from the co-regulation guide, are stored in your dashboard and shared with your companion as context.
Usage data
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. This collects anonymised information about pages visited, time on site, and general location (country level only). It does not identify you personally.
Sensitive information
Some of the information we handle falls into special categories under data protection law – specifically, information relating to health and children.
Child data
We process information about children solely to provide the companion service to their parent or carer. We do not use child data for any other purpose. Parents and carers have full rights over their child's data and can delete it at any time.
Mental health context
Information you share about your own mental health, nervous system, or emotional state is used solely to personalise your experience on the For You page and in companion conversations. It is never shared or used for any other purpose.
Crisis information
If you use the crisis support resources within the platform, we do not log or store which resources you accessed.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We process this data on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you create an account and agree to this policy. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
How we use your information
To provide the companion service
Your child's profile and your conversation history are used to make the companion knowledgeable about your family and useful in real time.
To generate pattern insights
Trigger Map data is analysed to surface patterns and predictions about your child's harder moments.
To send you relevant emails
If you have an account, we may send you emails about your child's patterns, platform updates, or resources we think will help. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time.
